Create a gloomy climate, using photoshop

Description: Understand These techniques used in this example can be used on any other photo, i.e., After working with these effects you will be able to develop big projects that include treatment of images.

01 In the top menu, Click Image, Adjustments, HueSaturation. Determine the value -40 for Saturation.


02 Now, again in the top menu, Click Image, Adjustments, Curves.


03 Work the image contrast using the curves. Analyze the result by selecting the button Preview


04 Make the change of colors in the image through the menu Image, Adjustments, Color Balance.


05 In the window Color Balance, work with the shadows, the half-tints and brightness. Click Midtones and determine the values as shown below.


06 Select the option Shadows and in Color Levels, enclose the values -2 for CyanRed, +2 for MagentaGreen and + 14 for YellowBlue.


07 Select Highlights and determine the values as shown below. Note always changes that happen on the image by clicking Preview.


08 Click Image, Adjustments, Selective Color.


09 Increase the value of black in the image, This will be fundamental to the gloomy effect. Experiment and determine the value that you want to.


10 Check Out the result so far. The image on the left is the original image, the one on the right is the image after adjustments.


11 Select the Pen Tool in tools and start stroking barrade design heaven.


12 In the tab Paths, Click Shape 1 Vector Mask, that is the stroke drawing, and click Load path as a selection.


13 Create another new layer and click Set Foreground Color. Select the desired color, use the image on the side as an example.


14 Determine the background color to make a gradient effect in the image, Choose a darker blue. Click the tool Gradient Tool. Drag the cursor from the center of the screen up to the side of the image. The result should be similar to the image on the side.


15 In the top menu, Select Filter,Blur, Gaussian Blur Determine 30 in pixels.


16In the Layers window determine Multiply in the layer options. After that, in the top menu, Click Image, Adjustments, Curves and change the contrast of the image.


17 Drag onto our image of work, Press the shortcut Ctrl T and transform the image to the size you want . Determine Ligthen in the Layers window.


18 Now, Drag the image from RADIUS and transform it into the size as the image above. In the window Layers, Select the option Lighten, with 30% on Opacity.


19 Click the main image layer and select, on the toolbar, the Burn Tool. In the top menu, determine a brush of 400 pixels, Midtones in Range and 50% in Exposure. After that, Hover your cursor over the lighter areas of the image.


20 In the window Layers, Select the layer with the gradient. In the top menu, Click Image, Adjustments, Hue/SatuartionDetermine -50% in Saturation. After that, retouching the last details and the work will be ready.
